I created the eye popping focal for this necklace from .999 pure silver which I formed using a vintage mold, then refining it by hand to carve in the detail, followed by hours of sanding, firing, buffing, oxidizing to highlight the design and give it a vintage feel and finally polishing for high shine.
This is a substantial chunk of pure silver measuring 2.5" wide x 1.5" long.
I love working with pure silver for many reasons, one of which is it's whiter than sterling appearance, which I think really lends itself to my vintage pieces.

I chose a FABULOUS chandelier shaped smokey grey Swarovski crystal to hang from the silver focal and a hand wrapped chain made with 10 mm jet black faceted Czech glass beads and an elegant flower and vine shaped 30mm pewter toggle closure to finish.

I love the way this all came together, it drapes beautifully around the neck and would look fabulous worn simply with that little black dress for any special occasion

A great foundational piece that works well with layered chains. In particular I love it paired up with  'Like a Prayer'.

Necklace is 15.5" around, but if necessary I can add some links to customize the size
The focal dangle measures 3.5" from the top of the wire connector.
