This Necklace is very special to me as it encapsulates the plight of the racing greyhound and why it matters to that one hound when you consider adoption...I interpreted the last line of the Starfish poem " it matters to that one" to mean " It matters to that Greyhound"

I hand carved that sentence and pressed the StarBaby image into pure silver to create the substantial focal Pendant, which was then refined, sanded, aged, buffed and polished to create this one of a kind conversation piece. Because this necklace is extra special, I used the most gorgeous bezel set turquoise, labradorite and filigree sterling connectors to form the chain.
My hope is that this necklace will find the right home....By that I mean, I hope the person that wears this piece feels as I do, in that we can never talk too much about these gorgeous dogs and the need to find adoptive homes for ALL of them, this necklace may just help get that conversation started!! :-)

ABOUT THE PENDANT:
 I  had asked Artist Kellie Oliphant of www.doodledogspainting.com if she would be interested in coming up with a doodle that depicted a greyhound and incorporated a starfish somewhere in the design.

Kellie outdid herself and came up with 8 gorgeous drawings, I love each and everyone of them so have decided to release one at a time...This pendant of a running greyhound I have named 'STAR BABY'. I am thrilled to introduce this original artwork keepsake pendant with it's sphinx like greyhound pose and adorable little starfish
