Whimsical yet elegant, this conversation piece necklace is suprisingly versatile and looks fab when worn with jeans and tee, an easy breezy summer shift or will be the perfect finishing touch for special occasion outfit for any Summer soiree
The inspiration came from the fabulous pewter colored, incredibly detailed twig branch connector on which sits two little birds and a nest. I created a tangled dangle below the branch using 6 sterling silver curvy connectors joined by smaller ball connectors and hand wrapped shimmery organic shaped aqua beads. I then randomly dangled little soft aqua enamel metal flowers and luminous sterling wrapped aqua glass beads. I added a gorgeous 1" sterling wrapped faceted briolette Chalcedony gemstone to the bottom of the tangled dangle. I think one of the coolest thing about this necklace it the mettalic ribbon I tied to the branch which falls in back of the sterling connectors and gives the impression of gauzy moss hanging from the branch. The bib part of this necklace measured 6" from the top of the nest to the bottom of the briolette.
Chain: I created the chain by stringing various sterling silver bali style spacer beads between luminous arora borealis aqua glass beads oxidized silver beads. I finished the necklace with a handmade sterling silver vine shaped toggle clasp. The chain measures 14"
